Installation: How To Take Down and Store The WHALEN-JACK
All WHALEN-JACK equipment must be inspected before and after every use. Scaffold showing any signs of damage or extensive use must be discarded and replaced. Consult jobsite foreman if there is any question regarding integrity of scaffold.
- 1. We recommend the use of a fall arrest system during take down of The WHALEN-JACK. Remove 2x4s from handrails.
- 2. Once handrails and 2x4s have been removed, take down planks.
- 3. The WHALEN-JACK can be removed from the interior of the building and from the exterior using a man lift or ladder.
- 4. Remove 16 duplex nails attaching Spanner Bracket (we recommend using a crow bar).
- 5. NEVER ATTEMPT TO REMOVE OR LOOSEN SPANNER BRACKET WITH BLUNT FORCE TO SQUARE TUBE END OF BRACKET (I.E. A HAMMER ON OUTSIDE OF BUILDING). THIS CONSTITUTES ABUSE AND THE SPANNER BRACKET WILL BE CONSIDERED UNUSABLE.
- 6. Proper storage is recommended to ensure a safe long-lasting product.
- 7. Various box sizes can be utilized to store and transport the WHALEN-JACK.
- 8. This client used a 4x7 ft. box to accommodate complete WHALEN-JACK sets.
